We always suggest you start with around ten square metres and discover what can be grown in that area. Usually, most of the veggies one person needs can be grown in this space.  What you’ll find, is your harvest will vary with the seasons and so what you need from your fruit and veg shop will vary accordingly.

All prices are ex-factory, include GST and are assembled ready to be placed within the garden. Installation and soil is an additional outlay. You can establish the total outlay for your area, choice of bed and the number of beds on this link here.

In-Ground Raised Garden Bed

This is the most economical way to start. There is no structure to hold the garden, just some preparation work on the soil below and we place a shaped mound of 25 to 30 centimeters of our super soil on the prepared area. It’s the cheapest method but has some disadvantages with respect to the soil mound not being held in place. As a low budget way to get started, it may be the way to go?

The major disadvantage of this garden is the need to bend down to work and to harvest your food. Also, some birds tend to scatter the garden around. But if getting started on a budget is what you need, then this is the way to go.

Timber Surround Raised Bed Garden

This garden bed provides a side wall height of 40 centimeters and a width of 1.2metres. It is made from sustainable sourced forest timber that has a non toxic pressure treatment making it suitable for use in veggie gardens. The timber beams are 5 centimeters thick. This is a durable and yet economical way to set up your garden. Installing three or four will give you a real variety of veggies with space.

Galvanized Iron Raised Bed Gardens

This is one of the most durable and economical ways to get started with a raised bed garden. Fast to install, In short time you'll have veggies ready to harvest.

They are made out of premium BHP coated Z600 Zincalume. Then, the top edges are rolled safety edges for your safety and security.

For ease of transport we can supply them as two easy to assemble halves – making light work of the assembly.

At one metre wide and 65 cm deep they provide adequate soil depth and an easy to reach width to the middle of the garden.

To prevent side bulging, all beds come with tie bars to keep everything true and square. This is a feature missing from many other raised bed gardens and one that will be valued with the aging of the garden.

Rendered Raised Bed Gardens

When style and functionality need to come together you'll discover our eco-panel constructed, polymer coated raised bed gardens, a desirable addition to your garden.

Our standard range is 1.2 metres wide and in lengths from 1.2m to 5m. Colour-wise, you'll find a range of latest colurs and top edge finishes from rendered to timber.

Low-Line, Rendered Raised Bed Gardens

For those on a budget, we also have a 40cm high version which saves on installation of the garden bed and the soil needed. Plants grow effectively in as little as 30cm of soil and if you follow our recommendation and allow the soil to be mounded, the greatest soil depth can effectively be up to 50 to 55cm deep.

We recommend mounding the soil and our volume recommendations are based on that. Our experience indicates that gardening with raised beds and mounded soil contributes to a better plant growth.

Patio - Balcony Rendered Garden Beds

As more people choose to live in apartments or courtyard homes, effective use of outdoor space is vitally important. With the correct aspect giving you sunlight you can easily grow your salad greens. The wall thickness on this raised bed is around 4.5cm in the interests of saving valuable space. They are 60cm wide with a wall height of 40cm with a stylish timber architrave.

All balcony beds are 0.6 metres wide.

The weights outlined above represent an approximate load factor of 390 kg per meters squared on your balcony floor. This is the equivalent of 4 average sized adults in that space. In the interests of safety please ensure this load is safe and do not overload your balcony.
